Microneedling for Smoother Skin

Benefits

As we age, elastin and collagen production in our skin slows down, we acquire scars and our skin is damaged. Microneedling uses therapeutic microtrauma to encourage your skin to prioritize collagen and elastin production, break up scarring, and to increase absorption of serums directly to new skin layers where the active ingredients can be used.

What to expect during treatment

We start by applying numbing cream to the skin we’re microneedling, usually the face and neck. While the lidocaine is working, we’ll give you a full body acupuncture treatment and LED light therapy to enhance the microneedling’s effects. After about 20 minutes, we’ll wipe off the lidocaine and use the microneedling pen to create microchannels in the skin. We’ll apply hyaluronic acid, vitamin c and collagen serums and calming products throughout the treatment. We’ll then switch to nanoneedling, which will give you a thorough exfoliation to bring out your new skin layers.

What to expect after treatment

After the treatment, you’ll feel like you have a sunburn for 24-48 hours and you will want to be gentle with your skin. Collagen and elastin production will take 4 months to develop. While you will benefit from a single session, we recommend planning for monthly treatments to give your skin the love it deserves.
